HENRIETTA HIRST

Henrietta Hirst has more than 25 years experience of advising companies on their international media relations activities, corporate profile raising and issues management.  She has worked across a broad range of industry sectors and has been based in London, New York and Sydney.

For the past 18 years, Henrietta has specialised in advising clients in the alternatives investment management industry, working in particular with hedge funds and private equity managers, and leading service provider firms supporting global asset managers. She was previously Managing Director of Group Corporate Communications for United Pan-Europe Communications, Europe’s largest cable company, where she had responsibility for the company’s media relations and public image across 17 countries.  Prior to joining UPC, Henrietta was a Director at Ludgate Communications, the corporate and financial communications consultancy, where she worked for four years in London and, before that, in New York on secondment to Cemex, the global cement manufacturer.  She also spent one year with the public relations department of the Law Society of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.  

While Henrietta’s primary focus is the asset management sector, her clients have ranged from professional service firms to industrial conglomerates and companies in media and technology, both publicly listed and private.

Henrietta holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.  She has had two academic case studies published by the school and has taught a number of modules on the Cranfield MBA communications course.
