Dorilton is delighted to have acquired Williams Grand Prix Engineering Ltd (Williams) and is extremely excited at the prospects for the business under its ownership. Williams remains one of the most prestigious brands in Formula One with a proud history in the sport. Dorilton recognises and appreciates the importance of respecting and preserving Williams’ heritage and culture and is committed to maintaining its identity. The team will continue to race and compete under the Williams brand, with the chassis name remaining unchanged.
Dorilton is supportive of Liberty Media and Formula One’s plans for the sport and believes the desire to increase competition between teams and narrow performance differentials through a series of financial regulations and sporting rule changes will enhance the spectator experience, the sport’s global following and its commercial appeal. Dorilton believes it is the ideal partner for Williams going forwards due to its flexible and patient investment style, which will allow the team to focus on its objective of returning to the front of the grid. Dorilton looks forward to working with the Williams team in carrying out a detailed review of the business to determine in which areas new investment should be directed. Dorilton also recognises the world class facilities at Williams’s Grove Headquarters and confirms there are no plans to move away from this site.
